INTRODUCTION TO PRINTING - Etching & woodcut

Suitable for people without experience! Saturday & Sunday 8th, 9th February BOOK NOW! Limited availability. Join us this coming weekend to learn the fundamentals of Etching and Woodcut printing. Create you own unique works while having a go at our printing press! ETCHING - by Nikos Mantzios Saturday 8th February, 15:00 - 18:00 "The participant will be shown how to prepare a zinc plate and apply ground on it. Then we will draw on the prepared plate and etch it. We will finally ink the plate and print using the hard ground etching technique". WOODCUT - by Aristea Charoniti Sunday 9th February, 11:00 - 14:00 "You will be given a wooden plate and instructions on how to carve it, then you will print using indian ink and the etching press. You will also learn how to print manually without using the press". Both workshops are three hours long and will include tools, materials (paper & ink).
