Open talk with Eva Mitala, Galini Lazani and Snehta's Residents Δευτέρα 04 Νοεμβρίου, 18:00-20:00 Πατησίων 89, 4ος όροφος Η εικαστικός Εύα Μήταλα θα υποδεχθεί στο εργαστήριό της την επιμελήτρια Γαληνή Λαζάνη και τις τρεις τωρινές φιλοξενούμενες του Snehta Residency (Bjargey Ólafsdóttir, Wang Sue, Yelena Zhelezov) για μία ανοιχτή συζήτηση σχετικά με την επιρροή της κινητικότητας των εικαστικών στο καλλιτεχνικό τους έργο. Το έργο της Μήταλα είναι άρρηκτα συνυφασμένο με την αναζήτηση του εαυτού της και της ανθρώπινης ιδιοσυγκρασίας εν γένει. Για την ίδια, η έρευνά της στις διάφορες περιοχές του κόσμου αποτελεί μία αναγκαιότητα που δεν προσλαμβάνεται τόσο ως απόκτηση νέων εμπειριών, όσο ως ανακάλυψη των ιδιαίτερων χαρακτηριστικών κάθε λαού. Η προσωπική της θέαση του κόσμου και της ζωής επηρεάζεται από τα νέα αυτά στοιχεία, τα οποία επιδιώκει να ενσωματώσει στην προσωπικότητα και το έργο της. Open talk with Eva Mitala, Galini Lazani and Snehta's Residents Monday 4th of November, 18:00-20:00 Patission 89, 4th floor Visual artist Eva Mitala will open her studio for a discussion with curator Galini Lazani and the current Snehta Residents (Bjargey Ólafsdóttir, Wang Sue, Yelena Zhelezov ) on the impact of artists’ mobility on their work. Mitala's work is inseparably intertwined with a quest for self-knowledge and the human temperament in general. Her research in different parts of the world is a necessity to her that is not so much about acquiring new experiences, as discovering the particular characteristics of each human community. Her personal view of the world and life is influenced by these new elements, which she seeks to integrate both into her personality and artistic work. Eva Mitala lives and works between Athens and San Francisco. She studied painting in the Athens School of Fine Arts (2000¬‐2005).
