Snehta - Δροσοπούλου 47, Κυψέλη Εγκαίνια: 15 Μαρτίου 18.00 - 23.00 Μια μοναδική σύνθεση φοιτητών της ASFA, σε συνεργασία με τους καλλιτέχνες της Snehta, θα συμμετάσχουν σε μια τριήμερη εκδήλωση - TREASURE HUNT στην Κυψέλη καταλήγοντας σε μια ad hoc έκθεση (τρίτη ημέρα 15 Μαρτίου) αναδεικνύοντας καλλιτεχνικά έργα και εικαστικές προτάσεις. Η ιδέα προέκυψε από συζητήσεις μεταξύ του εικαστικού και Αναπληρωτή Καθηγητή - Διευθυντή του 12ου εργαστηρίου της Ανωτάτης Σχολής Καλών Τεχνών Ζωγραφικής και Διευρυμένων Μέσων Poka-Yio και του Αύγουστου Βεϊνόγλου εικαστικού και ιδρυτή του Snehta Residency για τη δημιουργία ενός κοινού τόπου όπου οι τρόποι έντονης καλλιτεχνικής έκθεσης μπορούν να ενδυναμωθούν από την καλλιτεχνική ανταλλαγή (Καλών τεχνών - art residency). Το TREASURE HUNT στοχεύει στην επίδειξη νέων αναγνώσεων, αποκαλύπτοντας τις κρυμμένες αλλά και τις προφανείς πτυχές της Κυψέλης και των γειτονικών της περιοχών. Με ιδιαίτερη έμφαση στην «περιπατητική» και τις δυνατότητες των αντιφατικών αλλά και τελείως συμβιωτικών περιοχών το TREASURE HUNT υπογραμμίζει μια θεμελιώδη πτυχή της σύγχρονης καλλιτεχνικής πρακτικής που στοχεύει να θεωρήσει τον χώρο της ευρύτερης κοινότητας όχι μόνο ως εφαλτήριο ιδεών αλλά και ως τόπο όπου η καλλιτεχνική έκφραση μπορεί να αποτελέσει αναπόσπαστο στοιχείο αυτής. Οι καλλιτέχνες θα χρησιμοποιήσουν το χώρο της Snehta ως σημείο συνάντησης, προσωρινό στούντιο και εκθεσιακό χώρο. TREASURE HUNT - ASFA / SNEHTA Snehta - Drosopoulou 47, Kypseli Opening: 15th March 18.00 - 23.00 A unique synthesis of ASFA students in collaboration with Snehta resident artists, will partake in a three day TREASURE HUNT in Kypseli which will result in an ad hoc exhibition (third day) highlighting meaningful concepts and ideas filtered through research, quick exchanges and ad hoc presentations. The project emerged through discussions between artist and Associate Professor- Director of the 12th Laboratory of ASFA, Painting and Expanded Media Poka Yio and Snehta director artist Augustus Veinoglou to create a common ground where modes of intense artistic exposure can get further reinforced through creative exchange. TREASURE HUNT aims at demonstrating new readings, uncovering both the hidden and obvious aspects - aka “treasures” of Kypseli and its surrounding neighbourhoods through the emergence of newly conceived semiological arrangements and readings. With a particular emphasis on the 'peripatetic' and the potentialities of the areas both contradictory and utterly symbiotic states; the TREASURE HUNT here highlights a fundamental aspect of contemporary artistic practice aiming to look at the ‘neighbourhood' not only as a springboard οf ideas but as a Place where artistic expression can become an integral aspect of it. Artists will use the Snehta gallery as a meeting point, temporary studio and exhibition space.
